Demolition of Mountbatten Building, Southampton University
The Mountbatten building was dramatically damaged by fire. Keen Construction, under the guidance of Costain, very quickly mobilised to demolish the building and make the area safe, ready for a new building to be constructed. From carrying out these works successfully we were then awarded the main groundworks for the new building.
Hoardings at Glen Eyre, Southampton University
Keen Construction were initially awarded the site hoardings under competitive tender. Over 500 metres of metal hoarding were erected in three weeks. We then went on to carry out all site set-up work, the main groundworks and all of the building work on the project. Costain have, since this project, become one of our major clients.
Site clearance at City Park, Hove
Through relationships built up at Glen Eyre, we quickly cleared the ground of any obstructions, including large foundations left by the demolition contractor and basement areas.
Demolition and Siting of Temporary Classrooms, Bishop Wordsworth's School
Keen Construction have carried out a number of school based projects for Salisbury Diocese. The one at Bishop Wordsworth's School involved the demolition of temporary classrooms and resiting replacements.
